This saddens me to my core. Most of you know I love amusement parks (especially Disney), so when I see one that was in the middle of construction that never got finished…it makes me wish I was a millionaire to buy up the property. I’m not sure the backstory of this specific park, just that it was abandoned in 1998, but the pictures and the video, taken by Catherine Hyland, haunt me - especially with what little music there is on the video - it’s all eerie sounds and dark pads.

Can I just say, I’m thrilled about this!
Not only do we love Pixar/animation/Disney/the works here at TOC, but I personally have a strange attachment to Scottish and Irish culture.
Needless to say, I think I know what my favorite movie of 2012 will be.

Ok ok…I’m sorry I’m posting about Tron again. It’s just that Disney hired amazing people to make their movie and help advertise it. You can’t go wrong with the creative force behind this movie. And there’s no way I’m not gonna share this.
So in an honor of this (maybe?) being our last post on the movie I give you a video from the graffiti champion Jim Vision with the photography help from Toby Summerskill.
What is it? It’s a 65 foot long painting - painted and shot in only 4 days.
The video is actually supposed to be in 3D…but this is the final 2D edit which was shot by two Canon 5D MK2’s.

Ever wondered what happened to the Disney princesses after the glorious ending on the movie?
Dina Goldstein has tracked each princess down and taken a photo of who they are now.
